The Monroe Police Department is urging residents to keep a close watch on their belongings during the holiday season. Entering autos generally increases during this time of year, and MPD asks residents to take precautions to protect themselves and their vehicles by ensuring their vehicles are locked when left unattended, removing valuables from plain view, and NEVER leaving firearms inside a vehicle.
